The Qaran University (QU) founded on January 1, 2000  under the Name of the University of Qaran (UQ) but changed its name to the Qaran University (QU) on May 03, 2016.

The Qaran University is free public university which offers certificates and degrees offline and online platforms, and it belongs to the People and the Republic of Somalia.

The Qaran University (QU) welcomes students and parents to make Somalia as the best home for educational excellency in the 21st century, and we are delighted to invite worldwide academic scholars and visiting fellows to be part of the Qaran University (QU) vision for the 21st century.

We want to tell you that we are now officially Somalia’s first worldwide public university.
